AIDA Master Instructor & Advanced PADI Freedive Instructor.
I am originally from Cornwall (UK) but have made Barbados my home since 2011 offering guided Spearfishing tours as well as Freediving courses. I have a real passion for the ocean and try to encourage more people to dive and hunt sustainably especially when it comes to the invasive Lionfish.
11 National Freediving Records for Barbados with my deepest at 92m (301ft) in CWT.
EFR Instructor
We are certified to teach EFR first aid and AED courses. Dive confidently knowing your instructor is up to date on the latest safety skills.
AIDA Freediving Courses
We have been teaching the AIDA 2* and 3* course in Barbados since 2015 and find them to be the most comprehensive freediving materials out there. AIDA are a non-profit organisation and are considered the 'governing body' of competitive freediving.
Competition Safety Diver
We are certified through AIDA as a Competition Safety Diver having completed the course with Vertical Blue's head of safety, Stephen Keenan. Whether it's safety from 10m or 30m you can count on us to have your back.
Advanced PADI Courses
We are currently the only center in Barbados offering Advanced PADI freediving courses. If you have already completed the Freediver course then this will take your diving to the next level.
Passionate About Freediving
Alex was the first person to bring Freediving education to Barbados at the end of 2015 when he completed his AIDA Instructor course in the Bahamas. He has since represented Barbados at the prestigious Vertical Blue four times, claiming 11 national records across the 4 main depth disciplines.
